Maybe it's that Stewart might want to talk about some *serious* things. Like the Moreland Commission. Or the US Prosecutor.
Alas... we may never know the source of Quid Pro's anxiety.
>>>>Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo released a memoir this week and, like all authors, hes spending some time to promote it. But unlike all authors, the New York Times reported Thursday that Cuomo turned down guest invites from Comedy Centrals The Daily Show and MSNBCs Morning Joe, two spots that most authors would pounce on faster than you can say nepotism.
What happened?
So far, Cuomos national media tour has been limited to a short appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, where he read a comical countdown, and an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
Thats a short, relatively easy tour for someone trying to hawk a book.
Cuomos aversion to Morning Joe (where a source confirms to Mediaite that Cuomo did indeed decline an invite) and The Daily Show may be justified, though.
Both programs, popular as they may be among political and media professionals, were highly critical over the summer of Cuomos questionable decision to dismantle an ethics commission he created once it started probing into his office.
You know thats fucking ridiculous, right? Daily Show host Jon Stewart said of the matter back in July.
A few days prior, Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe said Cuomos d>>>

2. "teacher"
3. I can't advocate for a third party candidate ( that used to be DU rules; I'm guessing it still is) I'll advocate for a write in vote for adigal. ( Presumably you're a DEM, yes?)
Psssssst: He's not so "tough". Nasty old Jon Stewart scares him. As does Preet Bhahara. As does Zephyr Teachout, obviously.
He's a reeeeaaaaalllly nervous guy, our Andrew.

(12,081 posts)than vote for a democrat! I'm shocked.
By the way, I'm with you. I'd rather write in Mickey Mouse than vote for any candidate that attacks teachers. I don't care if they are a democrat.

(45,251 posts)While the ethics commission issue is problematic in theory, the reality is that it did prevent Cuomo from winning the primary. No one knows the facts anyway and Jon Stewart is but a comedian on a cable channel.
Besides, we're tawking NY heah.
The Cuomo name is huge in NY and Andrew has made his own indelible mark. And he is the incumbent, which is a huge advantage. Fuhgeddaboudit. Of course, he'll win.
GOTV!
