When asked to give a viable alternative to Hillary, I say Howard Dean. She does have her strong points, and I like a lot of things about her, but she's not my first choice.

to come out of nowhere and give our supposedly inevitable nominee a run for her money. I like her but have serious concerns.

but I'd really like to have someone else to vote for. Howard Dean would be great
If the press hadn't blown the dean scream out of proportion he'd likely have won

He would make a great president but 8 years at that job is (in some ways) a sentence.

but he's a decent guy, and I can't picture him letting poor people starve, denying scientific facts, or persecuting our lgbt brothers and sisters.
