Obama urges Americans not to give in to Ebola hysteria

(Reuters) - With three cases of Ebola diagnosed in the United States but dozens of people being monitored in case they contract the disease, President Barack Obama urged Americans on Saturday not to give in to "hysteria" about the spread of the virus.

Obama also made plain he is not currently planning to give in to demands from some lawmakers for a ban on travelers from the worst-hit countries.

"We can't just cut ourselves off from West Africa," Obama said in his weekly radio address. "Trying to seal off an entire region of the world - if that were even possible - could actually make the situation worse," he said.

Nice to have an admin that isn't going out of it's way to scare people. It is certainly a change from the last admin that would use any excuse it could find to try to strike fear into the American public.

Just seems like this community is absolutely loving the ebola virus, handed to them on a silver platter by the corporate media trumped up hysteria machine and du members are eating it up.

If du members are not able to recognize when we're being manipulated on something so obvious as this "crises" ... well ... suffice it to say, that does not bode well for the future of this country, certainly not the next elections or even 2016. .

This is just insane.

So thank you for posting this, I'm pessimistic that it will be noticed by the majority.

LOVE to be proven wrong though!!!!
