Awesome.Would I do it? Probably not. I'd get shot.
The weird part: if it is illegal, and they SHOULD know this, then why do they do it?

(38,187 posts)I have heard relatives say it is illegal for non police to have lights on a vehicle in NC (except in Richmond County where weirdos can get by with it and local police will do nothing about it). I'm not sure about other states.
Either way, it's great that citizens have finally had enough and maybe will finally find ways to do something about cops who are doing as they damn well please rather than following the law.

(813 posts)I'm in Ohio and unmarkeds are illegal and they don't do it. Many southern states do. I would never pull over for an unmarked, ever, unless it was in their parking lot with a witness. I was at the gas station a few weeks ago and there was a guy in an old PD Crown Vic with "to harass and collect" painted on the doors, LOL. When I read the article I was reminded of it, because it was so true at the time.

(50,528 posts)...and I am proud to say I derailed the sorry-ass little fuck's Congressional bid.
Gavin Seim is a landscape photographer, "constitutionalist" and fundamentalist Christian. He spends eight months a year driving his family around in their motorhome, where he photographs and his wife homeschools their three little ones.
One thing Ye Must Know here is the state of California works very hard to exclude invasive species that could wipe out their fruit industry, and one of the things they've done is to set up inspection checkpoints along the border to intercept suspicious produce. One of Mr. Seim's favorite things to do is to buy fruit in Arizona, put it in the fridge on his motor home, then abuse the inspectors when he tries entering California while videotaping the sessions. NO respect for the idea that people should be able to make a living without having to worry about people like this fucking up their farms.
He puts these videos on YouTube, and one fine day I was stumbling through the darkest parts of that site when I came across Mr. Seim's excuse for entertainment. Since I knew he was one of the fifty people running for Doc Hastings' seat, and the district he wanted to represent is the fruit-growing region of Central Washington, I forwarded the links to the managing editor of the Columbia Basin Herald...who proceeded to inform the good citizens of the Fourth Congressional District as to how Mr. Seim likes to spend his time. His support plummeted - the orchard owners were not amused.

(3,544 posts)this video shows the blatant disregard that the police have shown for the law. You can't tell me that the police did not know that this was a law. Even if they did not know, why don't they know?
So let's say I'm traveling amongst a few states. If I get pulled over for tinted glass on my vehicle, and I do NOT know it's a law to have tinted glass, do I have the right to walk away and just tell them I didn't know? Would I get a ticket? And If I did get a ticket can I claim ignorance in a court of law? Hell no.
