(CNN) -- Forensic tests have found the blood of Michael Brown on the gun, uniform and police cruiser belonging to Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot the unarmed teen two months ago in Ferguson, Missouri, The New York Times reported.
The revelation, provided by unnamed government officials familiar with a federal civil rights investigation, marked the first public account of Wilson's testimony to investigators.
That it could potentially serve as exculpatory evidence -- or at the very least, used by Wilson's supporters to back the officer's account of what transpired on Canfield Drive on August 9 -- immediately drew suspicion and anger from leading activists who portended an ominous reaction from Brown supporters.
"This is clearly constructed and contrived to justify the killing of Mike Brotwn," Ferguson resident Pam Peters told CNN affiliate KTVI.

Will this be enough for Officer Wilson to get no-bill and if so, what do you think will be the consequences? I certainly think a no-bill is more likely now.

(130,860 posts)suggesting Wilson caused him harm in the car BEFORE he shot him outside of the car as witnesses have stated, results in a no-bill? Not at all clear to me.

(2,104 posts)Then he has an excuse to shoot him. the blood in the car makes it look like brown was almost going after him in the car...I doubt this story VERY much! The gun powder for sure...he fired from in his car at him.
and...because the body lay there for four hours, it's not as if anyone knew his body was there in the street for long while, making it easy to take a little blood, and place it in the car.
this is really what I believe...IF brown's blood is in the car.

(22,000 posts)If Wilson had as you said contaminated the scene to mislead the investigators, don't you think the witnesses would have seen that?
I'm not supporting Wilson in any way, but that seems a bit far-fetched.

(3,580 posts)Browns friend states right off that the cop tried to pull brown into the car and there was some kind of altercation

(14,177 posts)It doesn't come close to justifying the shooting at all. What it does is back up witnesses who said they saw Brown and Wilson struggling and then Brown turned and ran and he was then shot at and he turned around to surrender. At least it's still consistent with that scenario.

(9,350 posts)I do not think he needed the information in your post to avoid getting a grand jury indictment. I thought the fact that he was a police officer was enough to prevent an indictment. My feeling was that many people are scared out of their minds and worry that if they start indicting police for shooting people if something happens to them (the jury members) the police might not use the necessary force. In addition, it has been reported that police are rarely indicted when they are accused of some type of abuse of force.

(10,952 posts)supposedly Warren was allowed to leave the scene with his cruiser which would mean that he removed it from the scene prior to full forensic examination. If correct, that would smack of total breakage of chain of custody for any forensic evidence allegedly "found" later on and raise a lot of red flags for a potential of manufacturing of "evidence" as the subject of the investigation would have access to the car, the victim and time to plant evidence if he drove off in the car by himself.

(13,390 posts)There were some pretty intense protests even in some small towns in MO with the Rodney King verdict.
I think anger inspired by a no-bill would result in a state-wide uprising in which I would cautiously participate.
