The Prospect Of Losing Senate To GOP A Sign Of Our Ignorance & Racism.

It is appalling that we are so crass that any of these races are even close as bad as the GOP is. The fact that so many women will vote GOP in the light of things is even more mind boggling. And seniors voting GOP are screwing themselves and everyone else. If you want to lose Social Security and Medicare all you have to do is put the GOP in full control.

The GOP has been consistently terrible for the economy for 80 years straight now, but they still get votes. The reality is that people, especially Republicans, seem to vote for reasons entirely unrelated to factual reality. For example, somebody might vote Republican because they want to communicate dislike to gay people or because they want to announce that they aren't poor (especially when they in fact are poor) and they heard that poor people vote Democratic. It is not a rational process at all, it is more like a form of personal branding.

If we undertook the process rationally, no Republican would ever win at any level of government. Ever since 1930, unified Republican governments have lost 0.8% of our GDP per year on average while unified Democratic governments have gained 5.2% per year. There hasn't been a single Republican year- not one- that did as well as even the average Democratic year. Not one ever in modern history. Check it out for yourself: GDP growth by party. Or look at unemployment. During the most recent 29 years we've had Democrats in the white house, the unemployment rate has fallen almost 12% total while it has risen more than 8% during the last 29 years of Republicans. See unemployment rate by party of the president. The stock market performance by party and personal income by party are even more lopsided. But still, people vote Republican...

Not quite enlightened times we live in, that's for sure. Sad thing is that they could be.

Even Dems are being paid to parrot the more militaristic stuff.

But the Republican Party is nothing more than a tool.

A lot of people will keep voting Republican because they hate the Democrats for one reason or another. And a lot of people vote Democrat just because they hate Republicans. We don't vote FOR people in America. Our elections are about keeping someone out.

Internet, TV, radio, newspapers, libraries; no shortage of information available to anybody who understands English.

The truth is out there.

But too many Americans aren't interested in the truth. Instead they use all the above to find and spread more bullshit to further reinforce their entrenched bigotry and hate.
