Maybe editing changed the story? AP had some less than reliable reporters. I hadn't noticed the same at Reuters.

(68,644 posts)It's kind of hard to report an fully fabricated story, so I don't doubt that a handful of people filed out.
The question and the lie is in the conclusion drawn, the reasons suggested by the article.
People might leave for any number of reasons, this author had no idea but decided to create a reason for our consumption.
Typical, right?
