She honestly thought she didn't get it but the staffing company did call today and said the company wanted to offer her the job.
Now she did accept it. She thought it was a perament job but it is a 5-9 month placement.
At least she will get experience and maybe if she does a good enough job they might ask her to stay. She is just grateful to get out of the health care industry right now.
My wife want to thank you all for your support, encouragement and good vibes.

(14,177 posts)I am glad she is out of the health care industry. Maybe someday my daughter will get out. It's a very stressful job.
Oh and the thing about shopping now she has no excuse to not go do something nice for herself.

(57,936 posts)I worked there 8 years. Good luck to your wife. The nice thing about temp jobs is they can't complain if you continue to interview for other jobs while you do their job.

(25,183 posts)the only way to get employed is through a temp job. Even if it really is short term in nature, if she does a great job, the temp company will be more willing to put her out next to a better temp job that could indeed become permanent full time. That's what I had to do when I moved to this side of the country in 2007.
Make sure that she works her a$$ off, comes on time every day, and doesn't get involved in workplace politics or gossip. That's the other part of the equation. Companies are looking to use the temp system to weed out people that don't actually commit any dismissable things, but that they don't want to keep on if they have some traits that might make them less than desirable.
