Our history in dealing with Islamic countries doesn't lend itself to being loved by them. Turkey is something of an exception, although we've damaged our welcome there, too.

10. You shouldn't expect people

to want to aid the US in its exploitation of resources in their countries. Such an attitude is completely unrealistic. If you rendered assistance to the self-serving interventions of a foreign power in your own country, you would be considered a traitor to your fellow citizens.
