Really? Really?? They Just Sandblasted a Michael Brown Mural.
by jpmassar

Two weeks ago artists created a Michael Brown mural in Trenton, New Jersey on the gate to a vacant storefront - with the permission of the proper authorities. Then the police decided to get involved.

A mural was painted over Monday afternoon after Trenton police expressed concern that the painting, depicting Michael Brown, a Ferguson, Mo., teen who was fatally shot by police in August, sent the wrong message about community and police relations.

that gave permission and the artist will be posted up in the police chief's office, along with community activists and the media, demanding to know what gave him the right to commit vandalism!

There won't be any templates made from pictures so people can quickly spray paint it everywhere. No recreations of the original will be painted around town. No one will make t-shirts or decals with this image on it. It's gone now and the authorities will never see it again! Never never!!

The law enforcement in the US has always been for the rich and powerful. That has not changed since the founding of our country.

Now with mobile devices, the law enforcements' true function is being revealed for all to see.

What fools they are. They think we need to move on and understand this is how things are. Be rational about things and not reactionary to the results. Forgive and forget our false assumptions and accept it was a justifiable murder. Lather, rinse, repeat.

This isn't sarcasm, it's how their minds are working on this one. They somehow have deluded themselves into thinking removing this mural, and any other reminders, will erase what took place from our memories. Making it easier for them when the grand jury makes the decision they're expecting. Which goes to show how far out of touch they are with the people involved. What's broken is bigger than a mural, it's bigger than shooting Michael Brown, it's a total breakdown of faith by the population in the current militaristic police force. Removing the mural just reinforces those feelings, it doesn't make anyone forget them faster.
