And it almost seems as if the Democratic candidate has been too embarrassed to even mention his own name. How does that translate into votes?

My candidate, Bill Tilghman has run all positive ads, at least as far as I've seen. He's stating what he'll do, not how bad Andy Harris is, and he's pretty fucking bad!

...sitting around waiting for Republican candidates to have Todd Aken moments and say stupid stuff that would allow them to jump all over it, and have that be the entirety of their campaign strategy they wouldn't be in a state of abject despair.

1. Don't give them your email address

2. Unsubscribe if you happen to be so unlucky as to get on their mailing-list.

I made the mistake of giving my congressperson my real email, foolishly thinking they might actually respond to my query; Not even the usual Boilerplate, instead, I found that i had been sold into email slavery.

I suspect they secretly want us to lose Congress for the next two years, so the nation has the opportunity to experience Republican Hell on Earth.

This, they hope, will unite Democrats and independents to elect a Democratic president and Congress in 2016. Mostly, I believe, to keep the repukes from getting the chance to make Supreme Court appointments coming up in the future.

Not logistically possible.

1) There won't be enough vulnerable GOP senate seats in 2016.

2) In Congress, incumbents overwhelmingly do better. Unless the GOP suffers a significant setback this year it won't be a viable option.

3) Electorates voting for a president tend to hold the current president and his party responsible. Since Obama will still be president for the next 2 years odds are it won't be the GOP that is blamed in the 100s representatives and senators vs. 1 president PR battle over gridlock.

Maybe they're setting their sights on 2020?

Having run networks from time to time, I know spam when I see it.

I decided long ago not to let any of the national party organizations mediate my political choices, and boy did these weasels confirm me in that opinion. I made a few donations to politicians, who shall remain nameless, and they sold my address so fast ...

And since then it's been robot spam.

I'm unable to translate the essence of the source thread, I logged in to say I totally agree with your October thread opinion.

Fortunately, or unfortunately - depending on your perspective - I'm not considered in the in enough crowd to be getting blasted with emails.

Unfortunately, I have come to realize that the Democratic Party has a problem of either defining who they are or apologizing for being who we think they are. Classic example - but there are countless others - the John Kerry swiftboat debacle of 2004.

delivers a Message that isn't a downer and reads like greedy grasping?

Where is the "next generation" Carville & Begalla? They at least managed successfully to achieve positive position framing/targeting that addressed what "used to be" Democratic issues.

Maybe it's because we don't have any Dem issues except that everyone else sucks worse than we do. Running on "It's the Economy, Stupid" wouldn't go over too well these days.
Reminds too many of the Wall Street Bail Outs and Austerity Programs. But they could have promoted the "Affordable Care Act" instead of agreeing to call it "Obama Care" allowing the Repubs to run with that because our President said it was "okay" with him.

Sigh.........
