I Googled all the NP candidates to see their party affiliation too. If they were a Democrat they got my vote. If it was unclear, they didn't. I only support Democrats that come out proudly saying such.
And I did vote for one IAP, but that was because there wasn't a democratic candidate and there was a Republis.
Proud to have cast my ballot as such.

(66,275 posts)Doesn't really matter that much. There are no game-changing races going on in Washington State.
But I voted in favor of a couple of increased gun-control bills. We'll see what happens...
icymist
(15,888 posts)Did you know that by voting yes on I-591 would create restrictions that would make it impossible for I-594 to be enforced should it pass? The NRA is tricky that way.
Aristus
(66,275 posts)I voted in favor of one, and against the other. The one I voted against was a repeal of restrictions regarding confiscation. In other words, I voted to keep the current restrictions.
icymist
(15,888 posts)The 'confiscation' language was their biggest selling point. If this passes, there will never be reasonable gun laws in Washington State as the only gun laws will have to be federal gun laws!

(23,266 posts)I walk out my front door, turn left, walk 500 ft. to my polling station. Been that way since 2006 when I moved here. If I go before noon or between 2 and 5, there's hardly anyone. Macomb County is very blue. We have more than enough voting machines, optical scan type. I've never voted on any other kind. Only one year have I seen lines and that was 1992 at a different location. Took about an hour and a half.

(34,131 posts)Mr. Csziggy and I went together. Almost no one at the polling place, walked right in, got our ballots, filled them out and voila! We're done!
Voted against Rick Scott, against our Tea Party representative and FOR Gwen Graham to take his place, voted FOR medical marijuana, FOR a county penny sales tax to fund infrastructure improvements and schools. I got to vote for one of the people who I worked with on the 2008 Obama campaign for his first run at public office!
Also voted against retention of two judges - Clay Roberts who was head of the Florida Division of Elections during the 2000 election debacle; and Tim Osterhaus who was assistance to the Attorney General and lead the Florida part of the law suit to block the ACA. Neither of those clown have the credentials to be judges and should never have been appointed in the first place.

Got the little sticker to prove it.

(32,916 posts)took all of 15 min from turning off my car, walking in signing my name in the book , voted with guidance from Stonewall Dems/ Ohio Dem Party and back in my car, 16 minutes later. There must have been 40 machines in a room the size of a high school gym. This in a state that Ken Blackwell tried to strangle.

(6,336 posts)But even when I did I never got an I voted sticker. I guess the two jurisdictions (two different states) that I've voted in just don't give them out.
Someone I worked with gave me his in 2010. It's still stuck onto my passenger airbag.
