Three Teen Girls From Denver Tried To Join ISIS

Three teen girls from Arapahoe County reported missing by their parents on Friday were stopped in Germany on their way to apparently join Islamic State fighters, officials said Tuesday.

The girls, two of them sisters of Somali descent and another from Sudan, were students in the Cherry Creek School District. One of the families reported that $2,000 of their money was missing after the girls disappeared, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.

"The families indicated they didn't know where they were at and they did not know where they were going," said sheriff's Bureau Chief Glenn Thompson.

Suzie Payne, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Denver, said: "FBI Denver Division is aware of the situation and assisted with bringing the individuals back to Denver. The juveniles are safe and reunited with their families."

I don't get it. Teenagers pull bonehead stunts all the time, but this is too much. Who wants to travel around the world to join a terrorists group?

In Austria, there were two girls who went to join Chechen fighters. Authorities figured out that a local cleric had set it up for them. I'm not sure what the case will turn out to be here.

When they get there, they realize they're going to be "married" and used as fuck toys.

Some have screamed for help and have been gotten out. Most have not.

What could be more exciting than be a sexual object for a bunch of smelly murdering guys who enjoy committing atrocities.

Let them go get impregnated.

On the one hand, stupidity and "idealism" should have a price. On the other hand, these are kis, and that's a high price to pay.

Hopefully, if their parents had anything to do with their attitudes, they will rethink how they talk such organizations. I have a friend who is Muslim, and he tells me he's kind of shocked by the casual support of ISIS by some in the community... Not most by any means, but more than you might think. And it's not like they REALLY support ISIS, according to him, but there is a bit of backlash against 10+ years of Islamophobia.

But getting back to reality, who wagers the girls were trying to deflect blame for the stolen money, nothing to do with ISIS, which they probably could not spot on a map.

But the story keeps the general fear mongering on the back burner.

caught came up with this lame excuse....some folks just want the fear over facts and reason. Some folks want the media fear spin rather than the actual facts.

I wager you are in mortal fear of Ebola also.....?

How do 3 teenage girls, I heard 15 & 16, figure out how to get to Istanbul, pay for the plane tickets, get passports (it takes months), get to the airport and clear security?

This is so strange on so many levels.
