Even republican Tom Petri can't stand Grothman!

Tom Petri is retiring, and Glen (nutcase) Grothman is running for his seat.

Tom Petri won't endorse Grothman.

Wisconsin US Rep. Tom Petri won't endorse Grothman

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) - Longtime Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Petri says he will not be endorsing the Wisconsin GOP candidate for the 6th Congressional District seat he will soon leave.

Although Petri co-hosted a fundraiser for Glenn Grothman, he says he no longer wants to support the Republican congressional hopeful. Petri, who's from Fond du Lac, says he won't endorse Grothman because Grothman has said he would be insulted if he's compared to Petri.

Longtime WI republicans often used to play nicely with democrats. Petri's centrist republican leanings kept him a career politician. Hopefully Grothman doesn't last long if he wins. The guy truly is a disgusting human being. I never found much reason to hate Petri.

They were reasonable human beings, just wrong about most things. While they'd never admit they were wrong about anything, they'd still compromise on many things instead of squalling like 2 year olds having a tantrum and shutting government down.

Gingrich is the one who encouraged people with the mental and emotional skills of toddlers to act that way. I do hope history doesn't remember him fondly. I hope it doesn't remember him at all, except as part of a protracted Konservative Klown Kongress that managed to foul everything up in two decades.
