(15,088 posts)I talked to a neighbor the other day who was ranting that his health insurance went up because of Obamacare. On questioning, it turned out that he had a Medicare Advantage plan that had gone up. Couldn't convince him it had nothing to do with the ACA.

Increased my Medicare co-pay amount.
So the Health Act increased Medicare costs.

This is open enrollment time, and perhaps those who find their plans have increased can change to another one.
I know I've gotten plenty of mailings from other providers who tell me they'd love to have me in their plan. For now I'm keeping the one I have.

Good news that the Part B premium isn't going up, and OK news about the COLA. It's not much, but I didn't expect much this year, either.

(1,735 posts)physicians are converting to concierge practices where patients must pay them a retainer of $2000 to $4000 annually. Otherwise long time patients won't be treated
