1. Make sure they always have enough to eat.
2. Divert their attention with daily entertainment.
What does the US have nowadays?

"No, you don't want to think about which party's policies would be best for you and your country. Now be nice, be outraged about the topic of the day I picked for you, and go play."
If one of the conservative supreme-court justices dies of a heart-attack or something like that, they will "just ask the question" whether Obama maybe, possibly had him killed so he could pack the courts with partisan liberal extremists who don't really get America and/or hate it.
Does somebody want to bet against this? Any takers?
