I lucked out and the clouds parted for long enough to poke a hole in 1 piece of paper, grab another and COOL!!! A fingernail of a sun.

(28,394 posts)I kept looking out earlier but it was too bright. Now the sun is behind the hills.

(72,790 posts)Too many clouds here in CT. We had a Nor'easter roll through the last few days. Still dreary out.

I couldn't figure out why it was clouding up on a day I was working a couple weeks ago. And then I saw we were having a full lunar eclipse that night. Suddenly it all made sense.

(6,719 posts)Both Griffith Observatory in L.A. and the observatory in Phoenix had live streams. Also had slooth. My laptop has trouble keeping up, but if I changed sites then I could catch most of it. Exciting, eh? Just checked for path for 2017. Will have to make a road trip to see the complete eclipse, smile. Maybe will stick with computer.
