If We Had A GOP Health Care System We Would Have Ebola Colonies Like Old Leper Colonies.

Based on what I have just seen about the quarantine Christie just forced on a nurse (Cuomo I don't understand), if it were up to Republicans on how they are reacting to the Ebola situation they would be establishing Ebola colonies and probably not provide treatment. It is too costly in their view to care for these sick people.

They don't care about all the uninsured. And what what they do if the uninsured were to become sick with a like disease that was even more contagious?

I often wonder if republicans are even part of humanity or some alien life form. n/t RKP5637 Oct 2014 #1

The old time republican party was OK IMO. They had different ideas, but they were not wackos. Many RKP5637 Oct 2014 #6

The movie from 1988 " They Live " reminds me of today's rethug party. People who used to have a soul now are soulless like they have been taken over by Aliens. I 've lost some old time friends to the right christofascist who become unhinged in their hatred for Obama and liberals.

republicans today are zooming off the sociopath chart, many are clearly loonies with loud megaphones and sadly often with an audience of mindless guppies.

Easier to quarantine one at a time than 50 at a time. Silences the critics on the right which outnumber critics on the left by like 10 to 1. (just a guess)

Besides Cuomo is a governor, not 10 term congressman in a safe district. And governors across America will do this until there are no U.S. cases for like 90 days, or until the situation in Africa is stemmed and reversed.

That's what I would do.

where they would go to die and have their bodies cremated. Mexico would be napalmed and flights from Africa shot down out of the sky.

and no, they wouldn't establish "ebola" colonies.

I get so tired of stupid demonization. I certainly am opposed to republican policies, but I have a real abhorrence for demonizing. It turns us into them.

where people got out after three weeks? Me neither, that's why I find this comparison to be completely overblown.

When you attack something with hyperbole, then you have trouble getting people to see your side of the argument as reasonable.
