her column "Christie's comeback", which celebrates his Fox News appearance, where he took a strong and very wrong stance, from which he was forced to retreat.
In tone and substance he was what President Obama is not authoritative, proactive and empathetic toward ordinary citizens who should not have to worry each time one of these cases arises.
my comment at WashPost:
President Obama adopted the right policy without having to be sued to adopt it.

(27,461 posts)at the time of the Fox News interview, Christie was insisting on his wrong policy. This is what Jennifer Rubin is celebrating, Chris Christie being wrong, unlike Obama.
But by today, both Cuomo and Christie have come around to Obama's correct policy. Let's see if Rubin has anything to say about that.

(23,946 posts)lies about why he imprisoned a perfectly healthy nurse in a tent.
The RW has dedicated all its resources to keep Christie's Ebolagate imprisonment scandal from blowing up him and the entire anti-science, fear mongering GOP.

(9,796 posts)Christie is, indeed, everything Obama is not: A power-mad bully championed by a supine media. He is stupid, crass, venal, thin-skinned and corporate to his very core.
What worries me is that I could have said the same of Reagan and he got two terms and hordes of worshipers (mark my words, they will be praying to him within thirty years).

(45,251 posts)How did that work out again?
Actually, Putin and Obama have more in common than do Christie and Obama. At the very least, both Putin and Obama are heads of state, not heads of A state.

(1,980 posts)Obama's not the one lashing out at David Sirota for exposing his pay to play system with the state's pension fund. When the sitting governor mentions the reporter by name in a press conference, you know it's not just bad, but worse than you thought.
