Sarah Palin: Climate Change Is The New Eugenics

Sarah Palin has declared that climate change is the eugenics movement of the 21st century.

Piggybacking on a Weather Channel co-founder John Coleman's denial of man-made climate change, Palin posted a video from her online channel to her Facebook page Monday. In the video, Palin says she neither doubts "that climate change exists" nor considers herself a "denier."

....

"The global warming hysteria is to this century what eugenics was to the last," she wrote in the Facebook post. "So much of it is junk science that will inevitably be discredited once the hysteria dies down and actual science prevails."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee also took a shot at the "heartless" liberals who draw attention to the issue. In the video, she argued that combating climate change hurts the poor by cutting off access to affordable energy sources.

"In the meantime, don’t buy into the global warming con simply because it’s hip with celebrities and limousine liberals who consume more fuel and emit more emissions bee-bopping around in their private jets and multiple mansions than the rest of us ever will," she wrote in the Facebook post. "We could have more respect for these folks if they behaved in their private lives as if global warming really is as catastrophic as they publicly claim it is."

....

I don't know if I got the concept right there, haven't had my coffee yet.

Palin did not write that, it has complete sentences. The concept is Wasillian but the delivery is made by someone who actually reads once in a while.

Yeah, it's just been the last 45 years or so we've been paying attention. No need to rush to judgment or live more sustainably. This from the dimwit whose campaign speeches included the simplistic "Drill here, drill now, pay less at the pump."

He was the local weatherman here in San Diego on KUSI (local indy station). As if being a weatherman in San Diego isn't about the most cake assignment assignment in the world to begin with.

It's kind of hard to take anyone seriously that does a weather report while wearing a barrel and suspenders.

Eugenics and the Nazis -- the California connection

Edwin Black
SFGate, Sunday, November 9, 2003

Hitler and his henchmen victimized an entire continent and exterminated millions in his quest for a so-called Master Race.
But the concept of a white, blond-haired, blue-eyed master Nordic race didn't originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States, and cultivated in California, decades before Hitler came to power. California eugenicists played an important, although little-known, role in the American eugenics movement's campaign for ethnic cleansing.

Eugenics was the pseudoscience aimed at "improving" the human race. In its extreme, racist form, this meant wiping away all human beings deemed "unfit," preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in 27 states. In 1909, California became the third state to adopt such laws. Ultimately, eugenics practitioners coercively sterilized some 60,000 Americans, barred the marriage of thousands, forcibly segregated thousands in "colonies," and persecuted untold numbers in ways we are just learning. Before World War II, nearly half of coercive sterilizations were done in California, and even after the war, the state accounted for a third of all such surgeries.

California was considered an epicenter of the American eugenics movement. During the 20th century's first decades, California's eugenicists included potent but little-known race scientists, such as Army venereal disease specialist Dr. Paul Popenoe, citrus magnate Paul Gosney, Sacramento banker Charles Goethe, as well as members of the California state Board of Charities and Corrections and the University of California Board of Regents.

Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America's most respected scientists from such prestigious universities as Stanford, Yale, Harvard and Princeton. These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics' racist aims.

Stanford President David Starr Jordan originated the notion of "race and blood" in his 1902 racial epistle "Blood of a Nation," in which the university scholar declared that human qualities and conditions such as talent and poverty were passed through the blood.
