couldn't happen to a more malignant set of assholes it will also be great to see the "media" attempt to explain WHY they got it so wrong.

1. In a few years their suppression and manipulation will fail. (~2020) They will start loosing elections big time.
2. Republicans won't be able to understand why that happened. They represent the will of the people! America is a center-right country!
3. The GOP will shrink its tent even more and become even more radical. Voters through purity. They will fail.
4. Republican infighting between realists and teabaggers because the Big Money-donors want to put crazy back in the box.
5. Eventually a schism in the GOP will follow. (~2030-2040) The GOP will split into an establishment-party and a party of obnoxious religious extremists who make up their own "facts" about politics and economy.

In order to pump their majority, they've sacrificed super-safe seats for more districts where they have a smaller advantage.

As the demographics in those districts shift, and the ultra-conservative old people die off, those squiggly districts are going to punish them severely.

have to drive 20 miles into town and back to vote. The guy running for county Sheriff on the republican ticket came to my door the other day wanting my vote. I asked him why they closed down all the rural polling areas? He replied, it was saving us thousands of tax dollars. I replied that it was making it a lot harder for us to vote. He just nodded his head. . .

Wife and I went to the county court house and voted early.

have seen major shifts in populations. Lot of the districts had big time housing busts and there is a major shift going on as we speak. A more transient population is in place, renters who lost their asses thinking the conservative ideals was the way to go,and, now are living day to day and are bitching like crazy about how Bush and Cheney F--d over. The tide will turn once these so called Red District inhabitants realize there McMansions won't sell.
