A headline I would like to see in the freaky M$M who dismissively call Kaci Hickox and other super heroes "ebola nurse" would refer to the "ebola Governors" as such and Kaci Hickox by name.
These cretins that are attacking her and attacking science have to go.
Not to mention that everyone's else's civil liberties are at stake when these pandering politicians snatch liberty from hero citizens for political gain. Their authoritarianiam is leaking out for all to see, the lack of compassion and lack of insight are astoundingly crystal clear to all. Take liberty so casually from one, you all will be next.
Vote them all out, there is no time for these fact deniers and bullies and cowards in a land of the free and brave. The nation and its constitutional protections exist in part to keep fascists from the gate, not let prance right in and off the hook.
Close the gate, let science in, keep the ebola governors and ebola politicians and barbarians at the gate out.
Barbarian ebola governor Lepage will cave by noon, you watch, science does not tolerate fools well.
Close the gate, slam it on their ignorant beaks....VOTE.
You are with Tyson or you are against him.

(2,004 posts)Thanks, love that you called those two Ebola Governors! Cuomo is another Ebola Governor.

(23,946 posts)hero doctor Spencer as he fights for his life in a hospital...I hate the use of fear for politics most of all the awful things politicians do.

(2,004 posts)The GOP and the spineless Democrats like Cuomo have nothing but contempt for people.
I very much hope that Dr. Spencer is doing well in his fight with this dread disease. I wish him and his family and friends all the best. He s a true hero and has done far more than any of these grandstanding politicians to protect the American public from this infectious disease.
Keep posting, Fred.
Any ideas on ways to get the term Ebola Governors get more attention?

(20,629 posts)having Kaci Hickox check my vitals in front of them as a kind of publicity stunt, in the name of science.
Fred Sanders
(23,946 posts)patients, right out in the open......no media coverage.
Should they all have been locked up on arrival? The fear is truly disgusting, the twisting of science equally so.

(23,946 posts)The CDC guideline for returning medical heroes is self monitoring, but you want imprisonment....you are liberal, right?
The tea baggers also deny climate change, you with them on that also?
badtoworse
(5,957 posts)The CDC provides risk assessments and recommendations, but ultimately, the governor is responsible for public safety. As such, it's his call.
There is more to managing risk than just science. If the consequences associated with the risk are severe enough, than even a very small risk is not justified. The governors recognize this and it's not clear to me that the CDC has even considered it. I support the governors.

Is the president a blatant hypocrite?

(23,946 posts)difference? And they are not being imprisoned, they are confined to base, they are TROOPS, not citizens, but you carry on with the false equivalency if it helps out with keeping your fear.
I have no time for the science haters and fear and misinformation lovers that parrot tea baggers, you are on the wrong site, sir.
By the way, your hero teabagger ebola governor has caved to the science this morning, do you still want to imprison Kaci Hickox?
branford
(4,462 posts)The general level of liberty permitted of the military versus civilians has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the actual medical science of infectiousness and contagion and whether the asymptomatic troops, which we are told had a demonstrably lower exposure to the virus than the civilian aid workers, are more or less a danger to the public.
You have repeatedly demanded that we follow only the science in making quarantine determinations. I mostly agree. Therefore, why are you giving a pass to the White House and Pentagon concerning the quarantined soldiers?

(498 posts)Next question; should a woman have to wait 72 hours to get and abortion
what about a cop putting you in back of his car for two hours.
No other information supplied. Just gross pictures being sent to you if they don't like your answer
branford
(4,462 posts)What do quarantines for public health and welfare have to do with elective abortions or police detainment?
In any event, I don't support the quarantines for either the soldiers or returning aid workers if the science really doesn't support it, and want an actual medical explanation from the White House as why the troops warrant quarantine but not the civilians. To the extent it's relevant, I also do not support abortion waiting periods and cannot offer an opinion about police detention without a far more detailed factual scenario, particularly given it's a extensive and complicated area of constitutional law.

(498 posts)but I had to answer those questions to two people. Who then went into attack mode and started sending me strange pictures

(40,416 posts)Anybody who supports such a thing is ignoring the science and is giving in to fear mongering ignorance.
So say ALL the experts, including the ones at the front lines.

(771 posts)And would have taken the 21 days after a hero effort oversea assisting the needy. THAT was a hero, fighting Ebola politics is a step down.
Not saying she isn't right - but not a humble hero that's for sure.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)your statement is not.
Fred Sanders
(23,946 posts)to be a hero. Pretty desperate stuff by the science deniers as their hero teabagger ebola governor caves. The second one in a week, no wonder teabagger ebola governor Christie got her the hell out of New Jersey, he is still picking up the pieces of his political career.
Duers on the side of two teabag ebola governors and a fear mongering opportunistic democratic ebola governor, and rejecting science and ALL the medical experts, I thought I had seen everything.

(110,159 posts)as these assholes get shot down.
it really is interesting how this has all transpired. the last month of seeing the virus, up close, learning everything, seeing reactions, and then the take downs by one woman.... oh, and all those that have her back. all the way up to the prez
i mean. fuckin' awesome in that.
Fred Sanders
(23,946 posts)have no choice but to cover her because their teabbager ebola governors they cover for have sat in it.
Go, Kaci, hero to Africa, hero to America.
We science lovers have your back.
seabeyond
(110,159 posts)i recognize we go beyond the federal guidelines (the people that do KNOW about the virus).
and even without info, we are gonna create policy.
is this really who should be creating policy? the ones that admit they do NOT know.
Fred Sanders
(23,946 posts)And they are treating it by shredding the constitution for the sake of political gain, and they have their equally ignorant cheerleaders to encourage them.
Ignorance is bliss, so they say, these ebola governors must be in heaven.
