Chuck Todd's ‘Meet the Press’ Hits Sunday Ratings Low

Airing a little over a week before the Nov. 4 midterm elections, “Meet the Press” drew 2,351,000 viewers and 508,000 25-54 viewers, Todd's lowest performance in both measurements since his Sept. 7 debut as the show's host. Since that date, Todd is down 22 percent in viewers and 38 percent in the demo.

Joni Ernst refusing to talk to any of the state newspapers because they might not endorse her is just fine. What a GOP shill!! I won't watch again until they get someone with some depth, not another politico insider.

the propaganda, you get rich at the back end when government is blockaded and tied up.

And even richer when that blockade results in a massive flood of campaign ad cash.

Our vote is much more powerful than money can ever be. The fastest way to oppress a people is to get them to believe it doesn't matter. Because electoral victories such as FDR, JFK, Carter, Clinton and Obama overcame their dollars.

Ever notice how the most obnoxious, GOPandering network people are related by either blood, marriage, fraternity or through other associations?

They never get fired. Todd will be on the air until they can kick him upstairs. These mouthpieces can always get a job. Nepotism, favoritism, whatever one wants to call it. Their work isn't to tell the news or to inform us:

That they are so smug they can get away with it, only the vote stands in the way.

and the effects of what they are doing. They know they'll be taken care of and rewarded handsomely by the groups they work for.

When those not in their set get out of line on the air and present the bigger picture, they are smeared, harrassed and driven off. Rather, Donahue, KO, etc.

And guess what, people who call themselves liberal and progressive go right along with it and diss them. Like they do Gore, who ran a great campaign which he actually won fairly. But what do the fickle voters do, but blame him for it.

When the brownshirts paid by Delay shoved aside the election workers, and the reichwing church buses parked by the VP mansion, shouting their obscenities and chanted 'Get out of Cheney's house' evey night before the USSC gave Bush the win, they blame Gore.

They blame him for not contesting it by using more extraordinary means, when in his concession speech, alhtough I was angry and hearbroken, in retrospect, I believe he told the truth.

There would have been blood shed, not just that of his family. These fascists are playing for keeps. People don't want to acknowledge the evil as it might make them think hard and then do what the fascists fear most - vote.

Russert had it down to a science. He was more RW than anyone, and used the show to help Republicans and to try to make Democrats look bad. However, he did in a way that did not turn away viewers. In part, that was because Russert was much better informed, much smarter and much less obvious than Toad.

I think its already obvious they need either to replace him or give up on the show. If ratings keep sinking, it may, at some point, become impossible to get viewers back to the show, no matter who they replace Todd with.

the change in his on the air demeanor with other colleagues. In the past he has come across somewhat dismissive of other hosts such as Rachel, Lawrence and Chris Hayes when appearing with them. Now that he needs their help to promote his show he is more polite. Maybe he will learn something from this experience and be able to save his show.
