Easy solution to the nurse quarantine

All these people who are so terrified of catching ebola from an asymptomatic nurse, should just quarantine themselves for 21 days!

Don't go out, don't allow anyone in and you won't catch ebola from anyone.

See how simple that is?

Let's see how willing these panic button pushers are to undergo quarantine for 21 days.

How would they know which 21 days to do it? They'd need time travel to go back 4-6 days in time and tell themselves to start isolating themselves those 4-6 days before the other person became symptomatic.

So when you come up with an idea that doesn't require the discovery of time travel, be sure and let folks know.

until your unfounded fear goes away. Don't impose restrictions on other people's freedom because of your irrationality.

pro-active quarantines. We simply want to minimize the amount of work the CDC is forced to do on a budget that's been slashed by Republicans, so that IF we wind up with a larger wave of disease, we'll still have the funds to deal with it, rather than having wasted all sorts of money and resources on unnecessary contact tracking and monitoring.

Although I notice that everyone on the 'Freeeedum' side of the debate has nothing other than 'fear' ad homs to toss around constantly. They can't believe that anyone disagrees with them for any reason other than 'feeaaaarrrr', even when told directly it's a matter of public health money and resources.

I call it 'an abundance of caution'. Quarantine 2 nurses, rather than being forced to track and monitor the scores of people with whom they came in contact with between the time they were infected and the time they realized they were ill and checked themselves back in.

At any rate, I'm not going to bother to reply to any more of these comments. You guys have nothing but insults to throw.

11. That is not who they tracked, everyone they came in contact with between the time they were infected

and when they showed symptoms. Do you seriously believe that is who was tracked?

The only ones that needed tracking were those who they came in contact with AFTER they became symptomatic and contagious.

your own personal quarantine will be far more effective than anything else.

Please, lock yourself in your house, cease all communication with the outside world and relieve your panic.

You will feel sooooooooooo much better.

I guess you can watch Faux News for word when your 21 days is up.

12. 4-6 days before symptomatic they were NOT CONTAGIOUS. Why would a non-contagious person be feared?

Seriously, come on. By your name you are a nurse and should know better than that.
