Cedar Park PD release dash cam video after excessive force allegations

New dash cam video has been released by the Cedar Park Police Department after claims by a DWI suspect that officers used excessive force.

The DWI suspect, 21-year-old Christian Salinas was hospitalized in the ICU after the incident."

*Officers appear to hit Salinas with their fists multiple times and eventually Salinas is tasered twice.

Over the next several minutes more officers arrive. Eventually an officer confirms Salinas is in handcuffs and he's taken to the ICU at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.

Salinas' family tells KVUE that doctors at the hospital put him into an induced coma to help him breathe.

On Friday morning Salinas was released."

*They're making me look like some sort of thug or some sort of outlaw," Salinas said over the phone. "I would like to speak to a lawyer. I don't know understand why all these charges are being pressed against me."

5. I started to watch and after I saw the poor boy

being thrown to ground and hurt, I couldn't watch anymore.

We do not have police forces anymore they are just forces that use brute force to get their way - they are not interested in learning all the facts, they just want to show they are "top dogs" and you are nothing.

I hope Mr. Salinas prevails and finds some justice in this.

6. This makes me sick

The "peace officer" knocked the suspect down for no reason and then continued to hurt him. The cops knew the dash cam was recording. Don't the cops realize they look very stupid when they run and they look even more stupid when they try to pounce on an existing pile cops? The cops then used their flashlight to shine into the dash cam to blind the film for the last three minutes. Welcome to the police state!
