The visitor from Liberia was self-monitoring her temperature twice a day, as she should be. The minute she registered a fever, she notified the pertinent people, and was isolated. The folks she was staying with voluntarily self-quarantined pending additional results. Providence brought her in under strict protocols and separate from any other patients.
No one freaked out, no one was a selfish dick about separating themselves from the public until the risk was ascertained, everyone handled it calmly, rationally, and as safely and conscientiously as possible.
That's Oregon for you.
