Hopefully the polls will be as wrong again this time and we can sweep all in for DNC. Hoping foe Democrat winners.

but I like Orman even less.

What happens if Orman wins and Kultala and Wakefield lose?

Orman has set the precedent. Some rich SOB from JoCo can run as an "independent", force the KDP to drop out (since we could not find a candidate in 2012, or really 2010). It's either that, or Yoder wins again. Same thing in the 2nd district.

It could mean the death of the KDP. Why run as a Democrat if Democrats can't win?

I bet Raj Goyle wishes he thought of running as an independent.

Well, thank goodness Orman can support the "best" ideas instead of those stupid ideas that the Democratic Party supports.

What's Orman's idea of one of the "best" ideas? - Raising taxes on the poor and cutting them for the rich.

I am astounded that a rich person would support such a policy. Just astounded.

Oh wait. I am not surprised at all.

The trouble with Congress is that people like Orman keep buying politicians, and passing laws for their own benefit. Electing Orman is NOT a solution. Quite the reverse.

That does put me in a minority of liberals it seems.

but yesterday, my husband and I were driving in Johnson County, Kansas (a big suburb of the Kansas City area) and there were Davis and Orman signs everywhere. Only saw one Pat Roberts sign and none for Brownback. Johnson County is leading the charge against the Republican policies of Brownback and I hope that this is the future of the Republican Party. When people have to live with the bankrupt policies of austerity, they reject them and a traditionally red state turns blue. Hallelujah

They don't call it a horse race for nothing. People just guess and then pretend they knew something when they get lucky.

The only people who have any practical use for polls are campaigns, and they of course will distort how they talk about their in-house polling anyway, so it's no use asking them.

and Orman calculates that he can get more by caucusing with them, will you be so excited?

He's still not picked a side in this, the best I know. He's trying to be all things to all people, and the last time anybody tried that and got away with it was six years ago.

Here’s the quote from Orman’s website in the section “with which party will you caucus?”

Both Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell have been too partisan for far too long to earn my vote for Majority Leader.

With that said, if one party is clearly in the majority, I will seek to caucus with the party that was in the majority as that would be in the best interest of the state of Kansas.

Here's an example of one - taxes

"We need to take a comprehensive look at our tax code and drastically simplify it. We must stop picking winners and losers through the tax code. We need to keep the current progressive tax system, but make it simple enough so that Americans can do their own taxes and every American pays some amount in taxes. That way we can lower overall rates, ..." http://www.ormanforsenate.com/issues

Two points there

"every American pays some amount in taxes".

Well, take that you people too poor to pay Federal Income taxes under current law. The millionaire Orman wants to make sure you pay some taxes.

That's a tax increase for poor people.

At the same time he wants to "lower overall rates"

A rich person's wet dream. Puts us right back to Reagan with his "across the board tax cuts". Rich people will make out very well with lower rates.

I happen to think we need HIGHER rates on the rich.

His decision to run as an independent was obviously the correct one. I know nothing of this person, but I do know that if you don't win, you don't get to caucus with either side.

Guaranteed. If you don't think that's the case look at how hard our POS SOS tried to make sure the Democratic candidate stayed in, so he would split the vote. Dems in KS organized this whole thing. And it's going to work!
