Bill Clinton doesn't want Both His Legacy and Dems to Go Down for 2014!

I will give "grudging respect" to Bill & Hillary stumping for Dems in races to cover for PBO. Bill has managed to overcome the sexual scandals and the DLC repeals of Regulation and NAFTA, etc. that were done under HIS WATCH and now is Respected by Wall Street, Silicon Valley and majority of Americans.

But, I also know that if the Dem Party loses the Senate under Dem Leadership this would be a tragedy for Bill Clinton's Legacy and by Proxy for Hillary's hopes for President 2016 with Bill as the "First Man" in the White House.

So I will give them some grudging respect for Defending their Presidency and therefore the Democratic Party by using Bill's "Ability to Connect with The People" to "Save Our Party.......for the Future" It is also a "Test" for Hillary's Candidacy if Bill and Hillary managed to WIN for our Dems in the Senate to hold it for our Party.

This 2014 Election will have ramifications far down the road for us Democrats if we Lose both House & Senate.......we will need some more "Soul Searching."

If we pull it out because the Clinton's "Star Power" managed to pull out Dem Vote for some shaky Candidates then we still need to think if "Hillary 2016" is DYNASTY........or that we are so weak that we had No New Candidates who were Groomed and Ready to take the Helm after Obama and WHY IS THAT? After ALL THESE YEARS?

I'm not a Hillary Supporter...but, we are in Desperate Times as Democrats...........so I give them Credit for trying to Preserve both Their and the rest of our Democrat's Legacy.

So this is a quasi for Bill & Hillary.......if their efforts hold the Senate and beat back the House Majority. But, I'm still not into Dynasties...and want a different Democrat for 2014. But...."Credit where Credit is Due."

1. they aren't covering for Obama, they are there because the candidates want to be associate with

the Clintons and not Obama.

Obama would gladly and easily be there if the candidates wanted him there.

4. They were doing their job for their Democratic Party......and Credit is Due...

....but it isn't going to work for the "long haul" is what I'm thinking.

But....if it manages to keep Senate in Dem Hands with the slightest of margins...

Just as Obama fulfilled that Legacy.

But in Desperate Times Party Loyalty Rules. That's really what my post is about.

Our PARTY needs some BIG WORK.....it's not resonating with the people if we lose Senate and if we gain the Senate with a Stalemate........it still means OUR PARTY just isn't working for most of us in the 99%.

I'd like to see Bill and Hillary ADMIT that! That if Hillary runs she will run on UNDOING what she and Bill BELIEVED.

They aren't going to do that. They will run on the "Better of Two Evils."

We NEED TO MOVE BEYOND THAT.

Still...I appreciate their Efforts..... PRAGMATIC as they Are......For THEMSELVES and the Crowd they RUN WITH ......these days.

Obama needed HELP and they Provided It........If we Dems had been Successful we Wouldn't Need their Help......

And that's why we need much more work for our Party or we Find Another Way.......

6. Team Clinton and their LEGACY if Dems don't hold Senate....

They are working for their Legacy and Obama's and the Dem Party.

But.....it shouldn't have been this way. And, wouldn't if they had held strong to Democratic Principles and not gone with the Republicans with their Third Way DLC Prog Business Policies.

When you give a way the Principles of your Party and try to Remake it as RW Republican/Business Interest/Privatization for Corporations ....what do you have LEFT to run on?

Throw in the Military Invasions and lack of Prosecution for War Crimes of Bush/Cheney and Wall Street Bail Outs and Lack of Prosecution for the Criminal heads of the Banks that broke down our Economy and left millions of Home Owners in Peril throughout the Meltdown .....what can you run on that people find worthwhile?

Yes the alternative of the Republicans is Worse....but, when both parties protect those who support Wall Street Criminals and Invade and Destroy countries and the Innocents who live in those countries and Remake our Education System, threaten Seniors for their SS/Medicare Benefits they Paid into their whole working lives, support a Privatized Prison System that is disfunctional, and charge College Students huge interest rates for Education Loans while giving Savers almost ZERO interest rates as you use their savings to prop up the Economy that was ruined by Speculation and Criminality........then there is something very wrong with BOTH Parties, imho.
