(111,078 posts)...and I am in no way giving up on her chances of winning tomorrow. She has a rabid base that will get out and vote for her. If Mitch wins, it will be very, very close.
I could see her as a future Governor of Kentucky or maybe the Secretary of Labor in the next Cabinet of the next Democratic President, whomever she may be?

(22,000 posts)I donated to her campaign twice and would have done more if I had been in the US. Tomorrow I will be watching to see what happens.

(111,078 posts)Although I'm sure a lot of people will question her strategy if she loses. But I think she has the best strategy to win in Kentucky at this moment in time. That is, to get independent voters on her side, to keep the traditional Democrats, and to bring out the women's vote, as well as some Republican women. As expected, Mitch came in with a barrel of mud and a barrel of money and peppered the state with negative, anti-Obama ads. "Why won't she tell us who she voted for", they demanded. And the press played along. In hindsight, we will see that this is similar to the "Dean Scream". After time has passed and it is put into perspective, it wasn't that bad. But Mitch and his blood thirsty vampire crew did what they know best. Suck the life out of any opponents and brainwash the partisans into thinking you are doing it for them. It can be disheartening without a good referee between the Parties. We have not had that, unfortunately.
