http://www.wkyt.com/wymt/home/headlines/Kentucky-voting-officials-Few-problems-steady-election-turnout-281463201.htmlLOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Officials in Kentucky say turnout has been steady and problems few as voters cast ballots for U.S. Senate and other races around the state.
Secretary of State spokeswoman Lynn Zellen says there were a few reported problems early on Tuesday involving voting machines and changed polling places, but those were resolved quickly.
Turnout has been projected to be about 49 percent statewide.
The Kentucky Attorney General's Office reported 52 calls by mid morning, most of which involved procedural questions or issues with residency. Spokeswoman Allison Martin said a handful of calls came in with complaints about alleged vote buying or electioneering.

(111,052 posts)I don't know the average turnout for mid-year elections but I would think it is much less?
I think Alison has a good chance of winning this race.
This is our best shot at getting rid of McConnell on our terms....lets hope it happens, but I am not sure, too many people are influenced by the media RW cheerleading...somewhere on DU theres a comparing 2009 to 2014 how things are better...so lets give the keys back to those that drove us in the ditch, even though we like them less than the D's.

First time I've ever seen it happen.

(4,879 posts)If Kentucky is anything like Texas, it is a sign of angry citizens. Since Obama is not on the ballot, I image the anger is aimed toward McConnell. The top man always draws the attention.
Maybe I'm being too optimistic.
