Are you referring to partial results?

They aren't particularly useful.

Blue Northern Virginia and Richmond are among teh last areas to report. Same thing happened with teh gov race last year. But it really wasn't supposed to be this close.

I nearly chewed my fingernails off watching the 2001 returns for Governor. I was very active in Mark Warner's campaign.

Warner should be running away with his race. If he is only winning by 2% it doesn't look good for other races in NC, NH, etc.

By double digits. Even the last poll of the race, when these things traditionally narrow, had him up by 7. If he wins in a squeaker (or, god forbid, loses), it'll be interesting to hear how everyone got it so wrong.

We go through the same thing every election. The media knows good and damn well that Nova always comes in late but they always try to play up that the democrat is doing poorly when the early returns come in. It's ridiculous.

This is one race that there's no need to be concerned about. Gillespie has never been within striking distance and there's no reason to think that changed overnight.

That was true in 2012 also.

It looks as if other urban areas (all of which are purple or blue, until you get to the suburbs-to-exurbs) are also going to be late to report.

Is Va. Beach flipped. Va. Beach is largest city in the state. With the vote that's still out in NOVA. Warner should squeak by with 1 or 2% just using some quick math. It's gonna be very close, closer than it should be. He should still win but It's gonna be late.

I've been voting there since 1996, and when it turns blue it does so quite late in the piece.
