I'm tired of seeing Democrats not giving people a reason to vote for them other than they are not Republicons. Stop being afraid to upset conservatives because they will not vote for you anyway no matter how much you try to compromise with them.
I hope that the lesson from this election isn't in 2016 they need to be more conservative because I hate to think about what will happen if they do.

I'm sick of these wishy washy Democrats who run away from progressive values. Dammit, that is how President Obama won and that is also why I don't regret my vote for him. EVER!!! If asked, there is not one good reason to be unhappy with him, except for the fact that people are told to be unhappy with him. I am sick of the Democratic leadership! I live in Kentucky. There were so many things to hammer Mitch f__king McConnell on and they wasted their time running away from President Obama and playing defense. The Republicans are mean, they stick together and they have the backing of Huge Corporate Donors. All the Democrats had to do was motivate the base. Make them realize the repugs are behind income inequality, low wages, inequality for women, unbelievable cost of education and our run down infrastructure. The list could go on and on. They failed in a big way to call the Repubicans out. Once again, they let the Republicans control the dialogue and we are poised for at least 2 years of dark ages again. I'm pissed and I don't know how to make the Democratic establishment know. Time for the pitchforks!

I could go on an on . .
We're talking GOP light here.
Sure I voted Dem, but did it while holding my nose.
(I've been an active Dem for 45 years.)

AND I REALLY DON'T APPRECIATE THE FOUL LANGUAGE
ON THESE THREADS. YOU'RE MAKING YOUR MUM LOOK BAD.

We got Alan Grayson in again.

Republicans want to claim this is "The American People" rejecting Obama's "far left agenda" when in actuality it was a case of a lot of incumbents getting reelected and a few Dems who saw their districts redrawn to go from blue to red.

58. Don't blame the chickenshit Dems

Call them checkenshit and many of them are, but it is not their fault.

To use a famous quote...The fault dear DU is not in the chickenshit democrats but in ourselves.
We allow it to continue and play the game...and the game is not winnable if you don't dance to the tune...not winnable even if it is popular.

But that is all doom and gloom and I see an option on how to deal with it...comunity action...get to know your neighbors and form or join clubs...get involved in any way in local government you can and elect dog catchers if need be.

But we know all that and many people are doing that...forming communities.

Changing this system is for the young, because it takes a generation at least.

His ad boasting about voting against "Obamacare" really pissed me off! The vote too of course. He ran as a Republican but he didn't get elected in the first place that way. Republicans weren't going to vote for him no matter what he said. They wanted one of their own to help them control the House. He pretty much threw away all his advantages of being the incumbant. Playing it as Republican light just doesn't get you anywhere in that situation.

Obama had a very poor administration and that sunk the party. Obama's admin repeatedly screwed up his plans and that's what voters are angry about. Obama should have been firing these idiots instead of defending them - especially Eric Holder that guy is horrible.

They politic so much that they're too afraid to support the leader of their own party. Now I'm starting to understand why some on the left view Democrats as weak in general. I get they're running in red states, but it says something when certain candidates refuse to admit to voting for the President. You're already running as a Democrat, so you might as well tell the truth.

"The people don’t want a phony Democrat. If it’s a choice between a genuine Republican, and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time…"
Sadly, I have to put Obama in the category of
"Republican in Democratic clothing",
and Hillary too for that matter.

So the Democrats stayed home. GOTV doesn't work unless your candidates give you something to make you want to vote for them. That is the way it has always worked.

The sad part is that there were a lot of attractive Democratic candidates but they ran really bad campaigns -- example: Kentucky where Grimes wouldn't say who she voted for in 2012 for President. Sure, it was a gotcha question but it was a softball gotcha question. Who are these advisors that turn attractive candidates into bumbling fools?

so you don't go out and alienate your base by being afraid to say who you voted for. The base will stay home on election day. Hopefully democratic politicians will stop acting like republicans from this point on!
