Six Years Ago Today I Remember The Feeling Of Relief That Came Over Me When Obama Won.....

I was down at Grant Park in Chicago to celebrate the win. The elation in the crowd was overwhelming. BushCo was gone and we can finally get on and repair the damage he and his Party did to this nation.

And look where we are today. We'll be tossed into that same mire. My bubble has burst and I have to start worrying for this country again.

Buy or watch gold/silver prices, which have fallen precipitously since PBO reigned in gov't deficits.

Republis are predictable. They always destroy things and stir up trouble abroad. Investors will look for safe havens, like precious metals.

Prediction: commodities will rebound and the Republis make the World a more dangerous place.

That was 8 years of hell of the Bush Administration, followed by the hell of the great recession and the post-recession economy, along with the effects of Citizens United. I miss the 90's.

anything, it just felt sort of like a place you're in that's not right. When I mentioned this to a friend she got concerned, maybe like the millennial apocalypse doom going around which wasn't what I meant at all...
In talking to Indian friends just now and explaining what workers fought for over decades in this country- 5 day workweeks, 8 hour days- they said that's the way it is NOW in India, 6 days work and school.
What a day.
