(115,669 posts)it follows an unfortunate and stupid pattern in which people (especially, it would seem, Democrats) don't get off their dead asses and vote in midterms. So as bad as it seems it's not unexpected. I am trying to look on the bright side - I think the GOPers will overreach and by 2016 they won't have anything to run on and will get their asses handed to them. And the Senate seats that will be contested in that election will fall more toward the Dem side. It sucks but it's temporary.
