and I think that WE all know that. But a lot of Americans do not. How sad is that? Do we wait for a do nothing Congress to try and impeach that guy in office multiple times over the next two years? Or do we do something now? And how? The Koch brothers won tonight. It feels like fucking Trading Places sometimes. It's like how would this black dude do if he had to run the corporation (the country) and it's hilarious to them because they know how everyone else would respond. We live in very troubled time when people choose color, religion, sexuality, and just sheer stupidity over their own well beings. I call it the GAGG reflex (God Abortion Gays and Guns) over the things that really matter. What is wrong with our fellow country people?

(7,908 posts)lately disabused me of the notion, I had thought Americans had largely bid adieu to their racism. Alas, tonight proved me wrong. Very, very disappointed.

(979 posts)I just had to remove a troll from all of this. And I stand by my comments. I have seen the racism, from a lot of people. How sad.

(2,969 posts)It's a fucking disgrace that we don't - that nobody in any kind of position in the Democratic Party has enough of a handle on things to say with authority one way or another, and we have to wait for the verdict of bloggers who correlate individual reports from affected areas - but the fact is we don't.
Every single time Republicans do this, so many of us blame the country. We blamed the country in 2000. We blamed the country in 2004. Stop blaming the country, stop blaming each other, and just gather information.

(2,969 posts)What we have to find is whether the extent of their crimes in this particular election were decisive in determining the outcome.
Sometimes criminals win elections, but we have no excuse not to be damn sure one way or another.

(979 posts)I live on the cusp of Kansas and Missouri, and if you knew the people that didn't support Brownback, you would know it is all suspect. I have worked in education, advertising, you name it, I have done it. It's all suspect at this point if you ask me. NO one supports Brownback. No one.

(11,541 posts)Dems PAID them directly.
The blue states losses are mostly due to low Dem turnout.
Now they may try to impeach all they want for fabricated reasons, they will never get to 67 votes for removal.
No. The important things to do is to launch email campaigns to President Obama for standing up against their shenanigans to come, to tell him he has support for vetoing them like never before!

(979 posts)I'm just bummed. How did our nation become so divided that we have to walk over our words so carefully? That we have to be the pc crowd in the bunch because we might offend people on the religious sides of things? And why are there so many low voter turnouts in blue states? It's because of the religious right, who has had their way of things for awhile now. Screw them. We can play nice all we want, but as I posted a pic that someone shared to facebook last night "I believe in this book no matter how stupid people think I am." That being the Bible. Um, that is the real problem right there as far as I am concerned. People who believe other people because they are too scared not to. Has our country dumbed down this much?
