flip flop every few years. When people are suffering economically they tend to vote for the other party, then when things don't get better they vote for the other party, so on and so on and so. This is supposed to put pressure on both parties to write legislation that helps average people. Unfortunately most of the time it does nothing. We need a better way to put pressure on both parties such as stronger third parties. Even if they don't win they can put pressure on the two major parties to actually govern for the people, not for the biggest campaign donor.

If Senate flips in 2016 and a Dem president wins, it will probably flip to the Repukes again in 2018

with turnout the way Obama being on the ticket got young and minority voters out in large numbers.

it also depends on whether incumbants are retiring and the actual races themselves.

republicans could have easily won some previous elections without the rape candidates.

5. One of the talking heads said last week Republicans would have to defend 22 Senate seats in 2016

and the Senate would probably revert back to the Dems. I just reporting what I heard, not defending the premise.

I do hope that is correct, but I am not that sure....

and it will be republicans on the hot seat. god knows they'll do enough shit in the next 2 years that dems can use. then it's just a matter of taking advantage- not to mention that a lot more people will be voting.

Which hasn't favored Republicans lately. So yes the repukes could be in trouble. If a democrat wins the Presidency the senate will likely go blue too.
