get elected again? What is wrong with some Americans? Did Democrats not vote? Now the President cannot get anything done unless it is by Executive Order.
I really wish the President could tell the rethugs to piss off and sign as much policies by Executive Order and piss them off more and they cannot impeach him, bunch a idiots.
This President tried to work with the assholes but man, they did not want to work with him. You know whom am angry with, the Democrats who voted with the republicans even on health care because of their constituents and the need to keep their jobs!
That is all I have to say, looked at the polls earlier and am pissed that the rethugs are leading in the Senate vote. One party is for the people and the other one says: pull yourself up with your boothstrap. Who votes for this kind of thinking?
End of rant!

(5,704 posts)To me, he is the best since President Clinton.
I know, racism is a huge thing and it is never going away, unless the police starts treating everyone as human beings.
I look at cops and I cannot believe my eyes, the amount of power these cops have and they are not accountable, they are protected and even if they go to court, they get off. It happens here in Canada too!

(710 posts)If someone promises to do something if they are elected, and then either fails to do it, or even worse, renegs on his promise and does the very thing he said he would not do, then you can be sure that he will get blowback.
Now Obama has added even more to the problems he created by failing to fight for and enact the things he was elected to do, now Hispanic vote may not come back to the Dems.
The Hispanics voted Obama in for a reason, he didn't fight hard enough for that promise, and now the Hispanics have decided to to give their support. One just hopes, that the Hispanics don't hold it against the 2016 nominee when it comes time for that election.

(8,133 posts)To be honest, as a cynic, I never really believed a lot of things he was promising (I really never believe most of what any politician says) but even I was surprised by how few of his promises he kept - especially things that were so important to me like to keep so many of the disgusting policies that Bush put through: Guantanamo, eavesdropping, busting people for medical marijuana. Those things bitterly disappointed me among others. I was glad that he managed to get a health care bill through as watered- down as it was. I think that will be one thing that he is going to be remembered for. I still support him but it pisses me off when I think about it. I can see why a lot of people could be disillusioned. To not vote, though, is a cop-out.

(1,563 posts)Nothing, radical politics always work in the long term and tend to route less dynamic modes of enacting policy. This is what happens when "moderates" (really of the same ideology) fight radicals, the radicals route them and force the moderates to come along or perish. This is how politics have ALWAYS been and ALWAYS will be.
