I don't think that's going to work. Harry Reid already used the nuclear option to eliminate the filibuster for judicial picks. I don't see any reason why the Republicans wouldn't expand that to legislation. I think that's exactly what they'll do, only it will be in a slick political move that does away with the fake type of filibuster, and makes it so people have to actually, you know, stand and deliver a filibuster. I could be wrong, but I don't see the filibuster getting in McConnell's way, especially after Reid pressed the nuclear button on judicial appointments. That will give them all the cover they need in this environment.

If repugs don't get rid of the filibuster all together, you think that this piss weak democratic party will filibuster anything.

Reid could have gotten rid of the filibuster ages ago and given Obama and the Dems the best chance to make change, YET Reid was too chicken shit to do it.

Now we have a scenario where the Dems weakness has resulted in this election massacre, and the Repugs will surely destroy the filibuster just incase the Dems somehow find some courage from somewhere to filibuster anything.

But my bet is that the Repugs wont change a thing, they wont need to because the Dems wil just continue to be spineless and cave into the GOP on nearly every major issue.
