If You Think D.C. Is Awful Now, Wait Until Wednesday

The biggest impact of a GOP takeover will be on appointments. Many Obama administration sub-Cabinet positions (e.g. Surgeon General) have gone unfilled because of GOP opposition. Now many will likely remain vacant for another two years. Republicans don’t care. They hate government (except when it gives them a paycheck) and making it run worse just helps them convince the public that Democrats are incompetent.

But, given how it sounds as if you've rarely supported him on ANYTHING, I hope that you don't mind me for wondering if you've voted for President Obama at all.

"Lets get over it?"

No, I disagree. I say, regroup and fight back.

Now is not the time to lay down and die.

Welcome to DU.

Just sayin, i am a moderate lib, and i was all aglow with Obama in the beginning. So after reading the posts of everyone else and not ever posting myself i simply wanted to say that i as a liberal am very disappointed in ...MY president as of lately. As a moderate, some of his policies scare me, and i mentioned those two in my 1st post ever. So being new to posting at all i wanted to find out if i would be "torn apart" for saying i'm a moderate, and also for writing the getting over it statement. What i meant is that when the country speaks thru voting i personally can accept the outcome because i would choose ANY day to live in a society where all things are decided by the people--and well, the people did speak rather loudly. That said though, it is pathetic that the ones in power can't find ANY middle ground and THAT is the thing to be bummed out about in my opinion...just sayin, ok.
