1. I've largely been against homeschooling up til now.

Since I feel it makes people less willing to work to improve public schools, and diverts money from public schools, at a time when public schools have been under attack pretty much since I actually got out of them.

But with both parties on the "Deform" bandwagon, maybe it's time to tell people you care about to think about it.

2. Yep, exactly. Each day America embraces Idiocracy more and more. American democracy is gone

and we are left with masters ruling the ignorant serfs. I guess this is the ideal of what many Americans want. And, the rest of the world will lead in technology and in scientific circles. Most Americans will say, oh, it's just too hard. I hate to be a pessimist, but I really don't see too bright a future for the new America.
