When the Democratic Party turned its back on the American factory worker..

the swing voter turned its back on the Democratic Party.

Younger voters voted for Republicans. Women voted more so for the GOP than in previous elections.

The #1 thing on the minds of swing voters..

Where the fuck are the jobs? Jobs are the #1 thing on the minds of swing voters. Whether they say it in exit polling or not.

In the eyes of swing voters Democrats have proven to be no different than Repubs when it comes to bringing home outsourced factories and factory jobs that pay a decent wage.

When Dems fail to differentiate themselves on bringing jobs home, swing voters then turn to issues like guns when choosing a candidate. Then, Dems get trounced on issues like guns..

Factory outsourcing ranks among the worst of policies I have seen in my life, here in America, as bad as Bushco's Iraq War. As bad as Raygun/Bush/Clinton NAFTA.(which started it all)

The factory worker wing of the Democratic Party used to give the party its spine. Especially the unionized factory. Our party outsourced its fucking spine.

What do you think an UNEMPLOYED swing voter thinks when they hear that Obama is pushing a gigantic new free trade pact(TPP) that opens the door for even more outsourcing?

That's why young voters and some women switched to voting for the GOP.

Again, outsourcing is the worst non-war policy that I have ever seen in my 43 year old lifetime. And Democrats sat silent on the issue this campaign..

As the Party sits and licks its wounds today, looking around for a fucking answer.

The answer..
Declare war on free trade or wither away into political obscurity.
(ahem, see the US House, GOP has 243 seat so far)

What do Democrats stand for today?

Hillary, the Free Trader, will have great difficulty defeating Jeb or Rand.

Until this party learns that it needs swing voters to increase turnout, it will suffer in midterms and will have more difficulty in presidential elections.

If Democrats don't start caring about factory jobs that create stable employment, swing voters will look elsewhere.

See the US House. And Senate.

(FWIW I'm not happy about this shit either. Just stating facts.)

reagan. They were quite upset with Jimmy Carter for deregulating the airline industry, and made their point by voting for reagan. It has been a disaster for them ever since.

2. gee, I guess Obama shouldn't of saved GM. Where was this labor vote when labor voted for Reagan?

That is what actually set the course for the direction of labor in this country, and they have been paying for it ever since.

Yeah, "Obama" is a free trader, so I will vote for republican, that will show them, just like it did when they voted for reagan.

It might be hard to fathom, but jobs were lost because of republican policies.

If they think they will get a better deal from Jeb or Rand let them go for it, and lets see how many social programs exist for them after they lose their jobs

Let me cut off my nose to spite my face

Just stating the facts

I doubt he'll find a 'real' job but rather will have to do contract work - no benefits, but a paycheck anyway.
