Am going to try to educate the local radio wingnut new co-host on why we're DemocratIC
The local radio wingnut host has a new co-host. He did his thing solo for 20 yrs, then got retired for a couple of years, then came back, up to his third co-host, all raging Faux-parrots. The first was one with a medical equipment business, raging against “welfare” while missing the irony of his cashing in on (not “welfare” but) Democratic programs (MediCARE). Then the next one was a twenty-something techie, anime dude, military brat who had cashed in on government/military benefits all over the world, missing the irony while he literally spied into grocery carts of those using food stamps.
Now the third is a twenty something MALKIN type, also a Faux parrot who is totally devoid of basic Lib Arts. She believes she is a self-actualizing, with-it girl who is tough because she plays video games, and babbles against high taxes, Libertarian junk like why should the government confiscate property if taxes aren’t paid and how the Dem party stands for “welfare” and the only partisans are moochers.
He has guest hosts, one who is a retired Border Security type, that is, missing the irony of his reaping fed retirement benefits and Social Security while railing against Dem programs and recipients.
The main wingnut almost seems moderate compared to his crew. He has tried hard to mentor them, delivering mini-lectures on American History of the past 100 yrs. The Libertarian techie couldn’t have been less interested, his favorite phrase being, “Who CARES?!” The current one is all-about-herself and the airwaves go blank when the older dude lectures. One might imagine that she would be in the blush of her youth with idealism and feminism and empathy for others. One would be wrong. She has been vicious on Democratic women candidates, and the other day she asked without irony, “Why ARE minorities so entrenched with the DemoCRAT party?!”
