Dontcha love the hyperbole - CNN headline "Call it the "GOP rally": The Dow surges 101 points...

Call it the "GOP rally": The Dow surges 101 points to a record. The S&P 500 also closes at an all-time high."

"The stock market gave its version of a standing ovation to the Republican midterm election win: A nice boost."

Of course, what it doesn't say is that "GOP rally" is exactly 0.58%. Half a penny on a dollar. Nice surge there - reminds me of Dubya's non-existent "mandate".

It's always nice to see the shilling and favoritism corporate media in action. So I guess all of those 200 plus point gains - not to mention the difference between market levels under Obama's presidency in general - are chopped liver.
