It's legal in St Louis! Marriage equality is now recognized in St Louis, waiting for other counties

http://www.lgbtqnation.com/2014/11/judge-in-st-louis-rules-missouri-same-sex-marriage-ban-unconstitutional/

I had a text about it at around 3pm today. A friend just proposed to her girlfriend on Facebook and they are now calling about hotel rooms for tonight with plans on getting their license tomorrow. They're leaving here a little after 5pm and will be in St Louis in about 3 hours.

Check out the Show Me Marriage page on Facebook (public page so you don't need to log in) for some great pictures of the first couples to obtain their licenses. Warning: get your tissues first. Also, be sure to read the comments. There are a few proposals in the comment sections of the pictures and announcements!

trying to get word on whether they will or will not issue. Out of any I'd expect Jackson County to the be next to begin issuing.

The two are separate entities. For instance, Ferguson is in St. Louis County.

St. Louis City is not part of St. Louis County. It is its own independent entity, like Baltimore City vis-a-vis Baltimore County and a number of cities in Va.

Supposedly county is going to accept the city decision though it hasn't been officially announced and there is already talk of Jackson County also accepting the decision. Someone else mentioned that Boone is currently deliberating whether or not to accept.

It is believed that some of the counties will be using this decision to begin issuing since Koster chose to not go for a stay.

there is already talk on the pages about it. Boone is home to Mizzou and tends to be very blue so it would make sense if it decides to go ahead and begin issuing.
