Is anyone else getting this message when using DU's Google Search?

I frequently use this search function to look through old posts that are relevant to current DU discussions.

For the past week, I have gotten the message posted below on a number of older DU posts that I have tried to open:

An error occurred during processing.

This may or may not have affected the action you were trying to
submit, so if you were trying to make a post or vote in a poll, please
check to see if the action was completed. It is not necessary to report
this as a bug unless it appears this error did prevent your action from completing.

Thanks, I'll try that. I've been getting it for both DU2 and DU3. Zorra Nov 2014 #3

I don't use it very often, but I don't recall ever getting that message.

The database for DU2 doesn't always work, and it's unsupported. Sometimes, you're just going to have to accept you might not be able to find posts from there.

However, you could try to see if the Google cache of the page is available - there should be a green downward-pointing arrow on the Google results page to the right of the DU URL for the result - click on that, and it will hopefully give you a 'cached' option. Click on that and you'll get what Google last recorded for that page.

I find the search extremely limited, because the results are scattered all over in time. I usually don't have the inclination to sift through it all to find what I'm looking for.

Yesterday, I got a message that it didn't show any results "to prevent cross-threading," or something.

I find DU's Google search feature of very limited usefulness.
