The Democratic Bench:

Hillary.

And that's about it. As many of you know, I think Hillary is corporatist and far too liable to resort to military "solutions". I'm not convinced she can win the Presidency, but I don't see any other democrat on the horizon who can.

No, this isn't an endorsement of Clinton- or not. It's looking at up and coming, compelling democrats. Where are they? Who are the democrats that can excite voters; not just the base, but independents and loosely affiliated democrats?

Regarding 2016, Warren has made it clear that she isn't running and I am less than convinced that she could pull off a campaign for President. Bernie? I want to see him run as a democrat to get his message out there, but it's pretty much an insurmountable hill for him to climb. And these folks are all getting on in years.

Do we have any rising star governors? I can't think of any. Lt. Governors? Well, there's Gavin Newsome, but who else?

Clinton and Obama were relatively unknown when they first jumped in the ring.

Kerry wasn't really in the early conversations.

Nobody knew who Carter was.

JFK was a bit of a surprise, considering Adlai...

I'm not saying that a newcomer would win the White House for sure, but Democrats have a long history of finding inspiration in them, and I wouldn't be shocked to see the Nomination go to someone who is not yet on the radar screen.

Kerry certainly wasn't. But know or unknown by the general public, who is there that you think could pull it off?
