He would be 78 during the election, Almost 79 when he took the office.

Which makes him almost 87 when he leaves office.

So. Yeah. His age.

it doesn't bode well for us that we have no one younger who fits that progressive profile. We're supposed to be the party of the young and educated, as opposed to the old white folks party who we've been told for years are "dying off."

You must be thinking of the guy who dated Linda Ronstadt back in the '70s. Today's Jerry Brown balanced the budget mess he inherited from Ahh-nuld largely on the backs of the poor, slashing Medi-Cal (Medicaid), CalWORKS (welfare-to-work), and other social safety net programs to the bone.

And, that's a question for you and Bill Maher.

Isn't it sometimes up to the person themselves to give a hint that they are interested?

It just seems odd.

If he couldn't get support in the 70s or 90s, why today?

And that was 40 years ago.

There's no "besides his age" here. He's an amazing man from the wrong generation for what we need.

He's an amazing man who offers the best of the last generation's solutions to the last generation's problems.

It's not a good sell.
