Another Sign Of The Apocalypse: Duck Dynasty: The Musical Review
Sadly, this is a real thing that exists and is not from the Onion:
Because, clearly, what the world needed was more Duck Dynasty and what Duck Dynasty needed was more show-stopping musical numbers, a Duck Dynasty musical is in the works.
The New York Times reports that a 90-minute show titled The Duck Commander Family Musical with actors in the roles of the Robertson family has plans to open in Las Vegas. Though it sounds like a cross between Waiting for Guffmans Red, White and Blaine and, as Frank Rich pointed out on Twitter, something out of a Mel Brooks movie, the show actually has some Broadway pedigree, with Jersey Boys producer Michael David developing it.
The family, however, has been at the center of some controversy ever since Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson made some comments about homosexuality. David, for his part, told the Times that, the show will end up challenging the views and assumptions of people across the political spectrum, more than most theater does. And as for those remarks that David and Jeff Calhounthe Broadway veteran directing the project, who is gay and marriedfound offensive? They have chosen to deal with them in the show. The Times reported that according to one of the composers this was still being figured out.

Phil Robertson should easily make the top 5 of that "50 Most Loathsome People List" this year.
