In remembrance: Peter Kassig was an extraordinary young man.

Here is what he wrote in the last letter to his Parents:

“I am obviously pretty scared to die but the hardest part is not knowing, wondering, hoping, and wondering if I should even hope at all,” he wrote in a letter to his parents last June. “If I do die, I figure that at least you and I can seek refuge and comfort in knowing that I went out as a result of trying to alleviate suffering and helping those in need.”

He was only 26 and had founded his own charity to help the Syrian people displaced by war.

Noble, especially considering the pain he is in.

And if you want to avoid seeing real dead people, don 't read the comments.

Doesn't get much better than that. Even at great personal risk he "saw suffering and tried to heal it". Thanks for posting this, Cali.
