For DUers who will no vote for HRC no matter what, in Général Election

Last edited Mon Nov 17, 2014, 04:42 PM - Edit history (1)

As now Clinton camps is even talking about skipping primaries to stop everyone who dares confront them..
As now as she is so inevitable...

The power of the protest vote could exist!!!

I mean not voting for the RWers of course.

But here is what some do over here in France and various countries in Europe:

(Most of EU countries vote with paper ballots so I imagine it could work only in a few counties and/or states)

Vote for a small and funny Dem Candidate ( one like Supreme and Colbert)
Write down your loved one's names.
Vote empty....

And it could maybe pressure the power circles on the fact that people are really annoyed with this already wrapped up and decided in advance rigged games.
French govt has btw just recognized the legitimiry and political express within the "blank" (empty ) vote.
Whe have even second roles parties advocacing it.

Why not USA? After all you got your independance by a fight against British Monarchy.... so why intauring your own one by picking the sames families?

PS.THIS IS SOME IRONY but agree on the fact that some people are planning to do it. Because they are EXHAUSTED with Clinton Family domination.

A protest vote here does nothing but give your opponent the win. Even using the weak theory that making it so bad that eventually it will change doesn't hold enough power to allow me to welcome 4 years of some piece of shit like Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush as President.

when Billions of dollars are in the media? Please. You talk as if all the demscorats have to do is be nice people, speak the right things and the world will bow to them, no, because the media is owned by rich people, of rich people, for rich people, and it will take years to get the monetum back the other way, with painful, slow, tedious work to undo what was burnt down!

focus on LOCAL elections, grow them from the shcool boards and mayors on, and no that those little local seeds need to keep the gop out of the main control room to keep them alive. It is better than just sitting at home, making the GOP so happy they are already sending Nader money to run again.

If Hillary is the Democratic nominee, you're recommending that voters cast their ballot for someone other than the Democratic nominee.

And you're recommending this at Democratic Underground.

Have I got that right?

Talking about skipping primaries?

Please provide a link.

------

And if she does get the nomination, don't be expecting to post your stupid "Write in a loved one" bullshit here. After a nominee is chosen, it's "Rally Around the Nominee" time. Go be the equivalent of a PUMA somewhere else, at that time, IF she wins.

Which she may not, at which time all of the kerfluffle over her will be just as pointless as it was in 2008.

Based on recent trends, the DEM candidate will win my state. So, if Hillary is the DEM nominee, I will not vote for her. I hope there's another progressive option on the ballot, and that's who I will vote for.

I will likely vote for any other DEM candidate besides Hillary. I just don't like her, and won't vote for her.

I honestly don't know what I'll do. I'm still upset about her and her bestie Henry Kissinger. Remember when Hillary said, "I relied on his counsel when I served as secretary of state."

Really? You relied on the counsel of that guy? Go home Hillary, you're drunk.
